Using Turnitin to Detect Plagiarism - Professional Development Center for Online and Continuing Education

Turnitin is FAU’s digital plagiarism detection tool. Accessed through Canvas, the tool helps ensure academic writing submissions are free of unintentional or intentional plagiarism. During this workshop, attendees will learn how to: set up Turnitin assignments in Canvas, use different versions of the tool, and interpret results of the Turnitin reports.

Steps to Register:

  1. Navigate to https://techevents.fau.edu/

  2. Select participate online via WebEx.

    1. Note: Make sure you are logged in to WebEx (on the top right).

    2. Enter your information to register.

  3. Wait for the email from messenger@webex.com that will confirm registration and provide the link. The email contains the link to the WebEx Session.

  4. Select the link in the WebEx email to join the session.
